Hybe, the South Korean entertainment giant, came up with some good news for Indian K-pop fans this year. It was announced on 23rd September 2025 that a new Indian branch of Hybe would be opened in Mumbai, India,  marking the fifth international headquarter of Hybe after Japan, America, Latin America, and China. Managing world famous acts like BTS, Seventeen, TXT, Lesserafim, to new sensations like Katseye, Hybe established HYBE INDIA ENTERTAINMENT PRIVATE LIMITED as a strategic subsidiary connecting the Indian musical scene with global entertainment industry. Located in Mumbai, India’s film and entertainment hub, this expansion was described as a global plan, part of their multi genre and home strategy to embrace local cultures and create a content ecosystem.

According to Hybe, the plan is to discover and promote local Indian talent. Call for nationwide auditions can soon be expected where aspiring artists in India can get a chance to experience the training system under Hybe. This model of cross- cultural projects has already been proven highly effective with groups such as Katseye that rose to global popularity soon after debut.

Additionally, Indian fans being one of the most passionate supporters and streamers of K-pop around the world for a long time with a thriving community are finally expecting to see concerts, fan events and promotional activities in India by existing Hybe artists.

With the world’s second largest music market, Hybe growth plan will be an exciting opportunity for Indian artists as they will get professional training, marketing, promotion, and international exposure to add to the already 185 million Indian music streamers.
