In Korean culture, the arrival of spring after a long, harsh winter is just not only a weather change, it has a beautiful meaning of renewal, hope, cleansing and resilience. And this transition is deeply rooted in Korea’s agricultural history. This marks the start of spring, which in traditional Korean culture was considered as a beginning of the New year even before the lunar new year. Even spring in Korea is widely regarded as one of the most beloved and picturesque seasons. After the harsh, cold winter, it bringing soft shift with mild sunny temperatures, blooming flowers and starting of cultural festivals. And early spring is especially in march, ca still be chilly with cool morning and evening but by late April and May, the weather warms us and make it perfect for the outdoor activities.
And this season also experiences light rain which helps to keep the landscape green and calm. Even spring fashion in Korea revolves around layering, comfort and transitioning to lighter, more colourful and stylish after the cold winter it brings colour and joy. After the heavy winter Koreans shift from heavy winter coats to lighter jackets, cardigans and outerwear.
Even during this time cherry blossoms in Korea are one of the most iconic symbols of spring, and the season is eagerly anticipated by both locals and tourist. The bloom occurs between march and early April. These blooms transform the landscape into a beautiful pink and white sea of flowers. Even the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival is by far the most vibrant and beloved cherry blossom celebration in Korea which is held in the picturesque town of Jinhae in South Gyeongsang Province. This festival attracts huge crowds and tourists. Even beside this Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival is also famous during this time, where even enjoy vibrant cultural performances and delicious foods. During spring, Korea’s mountains come alive with a variety of wildflowers, offering a stunning display of colours. Some places like Bukhansan and Seoraksan, wildflowers like camellias bloom at higher altitude and creates a beautiful contrast to the greenery vibe. And this flowers fill the mountain like a pink, purple, white carpet.
Even spring in Korea as a time when romantic feeling blossom. During spring in Korea, the warm weather and beautiful cherry blossoms create a romantic atmosphere which encourage people to spend more time with their partners. As the season brings fresh energy and this season inspires people to take chances in their love live, making it a special time for love to glow and flourish.
Spring is basically after a long winter; everything starts moving and melting.
