If you visit Korea and do not see the cherry blossoms, your trip isn’t complete.In Korea, cherry blossoms, called beat-kkot(벚꽃), cover the landscape with a delicate pastel veil that envelops Parks and streets in a variety of Pink hues. Usually, the season lasts from late March to the middle of April.Although the locals use this time to organize weekend trips, tourists also find it to be a major draw. It feels like the promise of brighter days to come and the first breath of spring.The one constant is people’s constant admiration for their delicate beauty, even though the timing and duration of each spring have varied slightly.

Types of Cherry Blossoms in Korea
Yoshino Cherry Blossoms(요시노 벚꽃) : The most prevalent and first to bloom in Korea are the Yoshino trees, which bloom first. The colour of their blossoms is a pale, delicate pink, almost white.
King Cherry Blossoms(왕 벚 꽃) : The island of Jeju is the birth place of the King Cherry Tree. Their flowers are larger and distinctly pinker flowers.
Seoul
In the Spring, Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea, explodes with pink.You’ll be happy to know that there are numerous beautiful spots in the city where you can take in the blooms.
Seokchon Lake – when you go to Seokchon in the Spring, the Seoul cherry blossoms will definitely steal your heart. The lakeside is a dazzling display of Cherry blossom trees in early to mid-April. The entire lake is surrounded by a boardwalk, and if you head toward the area that encircles the island of Lotte World, you can easily see the cherry blossoms. “The Seokchonhosu Lake Cherry Blossom Festival” is held beside the Lake. Namsan Park –The tall N Seoul Tower is only a short walk from Namsan Park, one of Seoul’s most well liked green areas. Standing at 262 meters, this hilltop Park is endowed with an impressive array of Sakura blossoms.

Jeju Island
The country’s first cherry blossoms are seen on Jeju, a resort island in Southern Korea. Blooms are anticipated to begin around March 22 and reach full bloom by March 29 in 2025. A little later than on the mainland, Jeju’s well-known native “King cherry” trees (왕벚나무) only bloom for two to three days, so make sure to plan ahead. Jeju’s early Spring is the ideal way to start the cherry blossom season because of its mild coastal climate.
Halla Arboretum – one of Jeju’s greatest spots to see cherry blossoms is without a doubt Halla Arboretum. Despite having more than 1,100 different plant species, the cherry trees are the main attraction in the spring. Yerae Eco Park – one of the most serene and lovely places on Jeju Island to see cherry blossoms every spring is Yerae Eco Park, Particularly in 2025 when the blooms peak in late March to early April. The park, which lies in the Southern Jungmun neighborhood of Seogwipo, is well-known for its picturesque stream path that is bordered by canola and cherry blossoms, which together create a colorful and lovely scene. The park is adored by both locals and visitors for its breathtaking springtime scenery, which frequently makes it seem like something from a fairy tale. Busan
Busan offers breathtaking views of the cherry blossoms every Spring, usually from late March to early April 1. Many of the city’s picturesque spots are well-known for their cherry blossoms.
Namcheon-dong – known as Cherry Blossom Road, Namcheon-dong in Busan is home to some trees that are over thirty years old! There is an archway of blooms in the Samik Beach town area, and this is a well known location for both locals and visitors to see these beautiful blooms.

Daejeo Eco Park – visit Daejeo Eco Park, which is situated on the banks of the Nakdonggang River. In the spring, the park offers breathtaking views of the blossoming cherry blossoms and other spring time flowers. The 12-kilometer blossoms funnel formed by the 2,500 cherry blossom trees along the Nakdonggang River edge.
