November 24, 2020, was a very huge day for the famous South Korean boy band: BTS ( Bangtan Sonyeondan) as well as their huge fandom: ARMY, as the group got nominated for the Grammys. This is their first mainstream nomination ever for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ for their song ‘DYNAMITE’ and they are the first South Korean music group to be nominated for the Grammy Award.
After the historic Oscar win of Bong Joon Ho directed ‘Parasite’, this is another big news for the South Korean entertainment industry.
“The Grammys is their childhood dream”, J-Hope said and they are now even closer to achieving it.
Despite the huge odds of this entire year, BTS has been producing music for their fans and have been very actively connecting with them.
Another exciting thing happened on 30th October this year when BTS interviewed with India’s one of the biggest news channels NDTV and expressed how much they want to meet their fans and perform in India. The Indian BTS army sure did go bananas after that.
In a recent interview with the Outlook, V (Kim Taehyung) promised to visit India and perform for the indian fans. He said, ” We have not been to India yet, so we look forward to having a concert and performing there if we get a chance in the future.”
We Indian army have something to look forward to now.
On August 21, 2020, when they released DYNAMITE, their first-ever song entirely in English, the fans went crazy and the song reached 100 million views within 24 hours and went on top of the Billboard HOT 100 chart.
The song also ranked #1 in Spotify India as well as Indian YouTube.
They have recently released their new album BE, which has yet again touched millions of hearts and healed many more. Title track ” Life goes on ” ranked #1 on Spotify India in the first week of release. The album has 8 songs, all based on the current situation regarding the pandemic, sadness, hope and healing.
This is why their fans connect with them on a different level because their songs touch and heal the fans. These seven boys are surely dominating the world right and we hope they continue doing so.
