Situated on the summit of Namsan in the heart of Seoul, South Korea, the N Seoul Tower (Korean: N -서울 타워 ), also called the Namsan Tower and officially
known as the YTN Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower, is regarded as a local landmark and Seoul’s second-high point. Originally constructed in1971 as the first general radio wave tower in South Korea, it transmits radio and television signals and has been a well-liked tourist destination since 1980.

History:
Architects at Jangjongryul designed the tower, which was built in 1969 for about US $2.5 million. At the time, the observatory was not transmitting, mainly to prevent North Korean radio and television from reaching Seoul. It was finished on December 3, 1971.The ‘N’ stands for ‘new’, ‘Namsan Mountain,’ and ‘nature.’ In 2005, it was renamed N Seoul tower. The Tower was renovated and remodeled in 2005, costing about 15 billion.

THE HEART CHAIR, a heart-shaped bench intended to unite couples, is one addition to N Seoul Tower’s “romantic feel.” “Heart chair,” is intended to heighten the romantic ambiance of the space. The purpose of this unique heart-shaped bench is to strengthen bonds between couples. Symbolizing love and connection, the design concept suggests that shy couples can sit on either end of the chair and will naturally be drawn closer.
